About the Doctor
Dr. Yogesh Kadam, an esteemed Diabetologist, boasts an extensive academic background and a wealth of experience in the field of medicine. Graduating with M.D. in Medicine from B.J. Medical College, Pune, in 1996, followed by a DNB in Medicine from the National Board of Examinations, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India, in November 1997. Dr. Yogesh Kadam has continually demonstrated dedication and expertise throughout his career. From serving as a Lecturer and progressing to the role of Honorary Associate Professor at B.J. Medical College from 2003 to 2022, to being a Recognised Teacher in Medicine at Maharashtra University of Health Sciences since 2006, Dr. Yogesh Kadam has consistently contributed to medical education and patient care.

His contributions extend beyond clinical practice, as he has served as a Regional Faculty for various courses, including CCGDM, CCEBDM, and CCDR, and has been a speaker at prestigious conferences like Diabetes India 2020. He is Certified as a Specialist by the IDF School of Diabetes and a member of the Endocrine Society USA and is recognized for his expertise in Diabetes Management and has actively participated in numerous Clinical Trials, further advancing the understanding and treatment of diabetes and metabolic disorders. Dr. Yogesh Kadam is also an accomplished researcher, with publications in renowned journals like the International Journal of Pharma Research and Health Sciences in 2018. Laboratory Tests
Poona Diabetes Centre has facility for all routine laboratory tests including HbA1c, Hemagram, Biochemistry, Electrolytes etc. Laboratory has dedicated and trained lab technicians, providing full-fledged services for 12 hours (8:30 am to 8:30 pm), and ensuring seamless functioning throughout this 12-hour duration. Quality Check and Quality Control (internal as well as external) of our laboratory parameters is our topmost priority so that the best Diabetes Management is provided to all our patients.
Retina Care
Our Center offers primary screening tests for retina, to prevent diabetic retinopathy, tailored specifically to meet the needs of individuals managing diabetes. Our team specializes in diagnosing and treating diabetic retinopathy, a condition that can affect the eyesight of those with diabetes and the leading cause of blindness in the world. We provide personalized care to preserve and enhance the vision of our patients, ensuring optimal eye health and quality of life.
ECG and Ambulatory BP
As part of our comprehensive healthcare offerings, our Diabetes Center provides Electrocardiogram (ECG) and Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring (ABPM) services.By offering ECG and ABPM services alongside our diabetes care, we ensure a holistic approach to managing the health and well-being of our patients, addressing both diabetes-related complications and cardiovascular risk factors.
Foot Care
DPN is a long-term complication of diabetes. Exposure to high blood glucose levels over an extended period of time causes damage to the peripheral nerves – the nerves that go to the arms, hands, legs, and feet. Our foot care services provide a range of services including Ankle Brachial Index and Vibration, Hot & Cold perception test to detect DPN.The preventive measures and the results of the foot test are discussed with the patients and are thus trained various measures for foot care.
