World Diabetes Day is a global event celebrated annually on November 14th to raise awareness about diabetes and its impact on individuals, families, and communities worldwide. At Poona Diabetes Centre, we wholeheartedly embrace this significant occasion by organizing a series of engaging activities and events to inspire, educate, and empower our community. Our celebrations kick off with a vibrant rally march early morning through the city streets, where our patients, alongside their families and supporters, come together to raise awareness about diabetes prevention, management, and advocacy. This lively march symbolizes our collective commitment to combating diabetes and promoting a healthier future for all. Following the march, we gather in a grand hall for an enriching seminar conducted by esteemed healthcare professionals and experts in the field of diabetes care. But our seminar is not just about lectures and presentations, it's a celebration of life and resilience. We infuse the event with joy and creativity through dancing, singing performances, and engaging skits that deliver valuable messages about diabetes management in an entertaining manner. Each year, we select a theme to guide our World Diabetes Day celebrations, sparking creativity and participation among our community members. From drawing competitions showcasing artistic talents to healthy food contests encouraging nutritious choices, and poetry readings shedding light on diabetes-related challenges, our themed activities inspire meaningful engagement and foster a sense of unity and purpose.
